British Columbia is launching a new service to help connect seniors with people who want to help them during the COVID-19 pandemic.
B.C. seniors needing support can now call 211, an expanded provincial hotline announced today by BC Minister of Health Adrian Dix and Seniors’ Advocate Isobel Mackenzie.
Mackenzie says the 211 hotline will be made available to pair seniors with volunteers (and vice versa) to ensure the province’s elderly receive the help they need, whether it be with groceries, accessing meds, or a video call check-in.
